If your church is a polling site, then your neighbors are used to coming into your building!

And they just might be hungry!

So set up a table with coffee, tea and some yummies for sale.  It will give you a chance to meet your neighbors, make some money, and let everyone know about upcoming events.

MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS WHEN THEY COME INTO YOUR CHURCH

Give each member and friend a "Blessings Jar" to take home.  Ask them to put $1 in it the first week, $2 the next week, $3 the next week, etc.

After 52-weeks, $1,378 will have been raised in each jar!

The first Sunday of the month, they can bring that month's money to the church to be added to the total collected to date.  Maybe even make a thermometer so the church can see the progress.

$1 AT A TIME

Start small.  Ask for donations and place them on a few tables in a room where people come and go.  After worship on Sunday, members and friends can browse and shop.

Price everything to sell!

Your bank can be a resource for mission grants.  Check with your church's bank to see if they offer community grants.  If they don't, then think about switching to Investors Bank, TD Bank, or others in your area who are community minded.

Banks also have other programs that can be a source of income for your church.  Boiling Springs Bank has a Community Alliance Program (CAP) that will match interest earned by their customers who designate you as their charity.
